Some CAVEMEN (Citizens Against Virtually Everything) claim that San Diego doesn't need the Chargers and our citizens care little about football because of the weather, beaches, zoo and other world-class attractions.

That is simply not true. Regardless of the team's success on the field, San Diego follows the Chargers.

Click here to see the Neilson ratings for the Chargers on T.V. over the last several years. Compare the 2003 (4 – 12) season to recent seasons – the numbers are still the highest in the city for any program watched.

And, in a society where a 600 person poll can predict national trends, click here to see the results of a poll conducted by the Union Tribune earlier this year asking 28,000+ citizens if they wanted the Chargers to stay in San Diego.

The bottom line is the majority of us would like to see the Chargers stay, for the right reasons, in an economically appropriate way. Unfortunately, the minority extremists always speak more loudly than the majority moderates. If there was ever a time to let the political leadership know what you want, the time is now. Your voice deserves to be heard.

Click here to tell local politicians what you want, whether it is to help keep the team, or, to let them go.
